Philosophy of Nuvento

When we started Nuvento in the year of 2006, all we had was a dream, a dream to create a company where ideas would be respected and people adored. Our aim was to be a world class enterprise that provides unique solutions to varied problems facing the IT industry.

To remain focused to our dream, we as founders decided to bring in our philosophy of life to create the ‘Philosophy of Nuvento’. Our aim was to create a set of guiding principles that breaks the barriers of generations, races, country and culture.

Here is a list of 10 things that we have found to have timeless value

  1. The best method is the method of working hard and thinking smart

The single most defining factor of success is hard work, and no matter how hard you work, you cannot sustain your growth until you think smart. We the founders of Nuvento have never won a lottery, we had our share of luck like every human being, but what we did better was our strong belief in hard work, if some thing went wrong, we worked harder and tried thinking smarter.

We have experienced many joys of victory and the frustrations of defeats , but in victory or in defeat , all we do is go back to our drawing rooms to create strategies and then work hard in implementing them.

Our Philosophy of working hard and thinking smart is the single most defining attribute of Nuvento.

  1. Excellence is not about doing one great thing, its about setting the standard and repeating it over and over again

Aristotle once said “We are what we do repeatedly, Excellence therefore is a habit ...“.

Successful enterprises are committed to excellence and hence committed to setting standards and achieving it over and over again.

No matter what product you develop or what service you provide, what matters in the end is the consistent approach towards meeting expectations and out performing set standards.

  1. Focus on the customer , and the rest will follow

Customer is highly powerful, they can demand and they set the rules. Focus on them and they can get your smallest idea transformed into the biggest success.

Customer is not just the user who uses your product. He or she is also your manager, your peer asking for help or anyone for whom you do something for a monetary interest. Focus on them for they decide what they need.

One of our most endearing attribute as a company has been to think from the customer’s perspective,

  1. Change is good, nothing is more permanent than change itself

Change is the only constant in the universe, no matter how good a person, product or company. It has to change to evolving needs of the environment around it.

We believe in embracing change positively, when things change around you, it brings with it energy that could transform the way you think and way you behave. It is therefore essential to expect change and adapt to changes.

One of the greatest lesson we learned as a company is the importance of change and the positive effects it brings into our day to day business. Our products and services span the change we adapt, while our innovative thinking helps us transform it into realistic solutions.

  1. Compete with yourself. There is no bigger victory than you winning yourself.

In the world of competition, we sometimes under react to the competition within, the competition to become better in all the small things we do. No matter how great a mind you have or how strong a physique you possess, what matters is competing to win over yourself.

Our competitors always find us as fierce competitors. They find that sometime even though we are small, we fight hard, and this happens because of our quest to improve and innovate. When the competition is with you, every victory is long lasting, and every experience a great lesson.

  1. No idea is bad just because someone laughs at it, when you first presented it.

First they ignore you, then they laugh at you, then they fight you, then you win- Mahatma Gandhi

Take it from us, 80% of the ideas are first laughed at even before you finish presenting it, never underestimate an idea just because the person who listened to it did not like it, present it again, and present it the way it will be liked.

Victor Hugo once said “No one can resist an idea whose time has come”, all it needs is persistence and effort, if you believe in your idea, be ready for it to be criticized and torn apart, but be ready to nurture it and persist with it.

  1. Everything starts small, small is exciting. The century has 99 numbers before it.

Believe us when we say that most sophisticated organization was started from scratch, it takes a lot of patience to build an enterprise or develop an idea into a product.

Every thing starts small, so never underestimate something just because it was presented to you in a smaller scale. Thinking big could be achieved by starting small.

Never believe anyone who does not appreciate you just because what you do is smaller in comparison, everything small has a chance to grow big.

  1. Quality and delivery are the two most important reasons for sustained off-shoring or outsourcing.

There were days when all outsourcing and off-shoring did was reduce costs, it is no more so. Companies do provide cost efficiency by off-shoring but that is only 2% of the deal, the real picture is the quality and delivery that companies from different parts of the world provide.

If cost was the only reason for spreading work across the world then the world would be infested with cheap computers, cars and machinery. The only way to look at growth is by providing better quality and superior delivery no matter what you deliver.

  1. You can find talent all across the world, ideas and dreams are not restricted by boundaries, sex, race, religion or culture.

Trust us when we say that talent truly is not limited by any boundaries, great people the world over have proven that even the worst climatic or political condition cannot stop the best from asserting themselves.

Nuvento is a company that believes and respects individuality, we have always been amazed at the power of the human mind, we believe that the best of our workforce can turn any challenge into opportunity.

  1. Genuinely attempt to like people. It’s very rewarding and very easy to do.

People are what make organization. No organization has survived without showing a genuine interest in the people who work for it and the people who use their services and products.

The best gift that you can give yourself is the gift of being liked by everyone, and it starts with you genuinely attempting to like people around you, it’s the easiest thing to do and is truly the most rewarding.
